Lauren Lunt

Lauren has worked in the NHS for the last 10 years. Her previous role as a Service Manager for a nationally commissioned Highly Specialised Service in Genetic Medicine. Lauren also studied Psychology at Salford University and graduated with a BSc in 2012 when she then went on to pursue her career in the NHS.

Starting her career in Cancer Services, Lauren began to develop her comprehensive administrative skills as an MDT coordinator, learning a vast amount of medical terminology and developing extensive skills in minute taking.

She then went onto work with the Neurofibromatosis Type One Service where she began as an MDT coordinator and soon progressed to become the Service Manager. Her job role as Service Manager consisted of providing comprehensive support and management to the Nationally Commissioned Complex Neurofibromatosis Type One team where she worked in collaboration across the multi-professional team and departments (internally and externally) securing their engagement to the service, managing targets in both performance and finance and contributing to any strategic developments and leading on changes within the service. Lauren also has significant experience in data collection and analysis.

She has learnt over the years how to be super organised!

Lauren lives in Manchester with her husband and little boy (and we can’t forget their little sausage dog, Richmond). Lauren spends most of her free time with her little boy, exploring and taking him on adventures. She also enjoys spending time with her horse of 18 years, Penny.
