Karen Tinsley

Karen is a specialist neurodevelopmental practitioner and is trained in assessing children and young people for autism and ADHD. Karen also trained as a forensic psychologist, supporting children in specialist residential provisions who were in looked after care. She is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and holds degrees in Psychology, Psychotherapy and Counselling, a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology and a diploma in Psychological Therapy. Karen has worked in a number of services over the last 15 years, both NHS and private, and has significant experience in a number of specialist areas, all of which are aimed at supporting children and young people and helping them to thrive and achieve their full potential. Karen prides herself on being open and approachable to children, young people and their families and will help families in any way that she can.

Karen enjoys spending time with family and friends and enjoys the great outdoors! She has recently embarked on pottery classes but feels that she has long way to go before she is on ‘The Great Pottery Throwdown’.
