About Me

Shri worked with children and young people in a NHS CAMHS service before moving to work with adults with mental health difficulties within a community and inpatient environment. She currently combines her NHS work with some private work. She has experience of working with clients across different age groups – children, adolescents and adults – on a variety of mood and behavioural difficulties. These include depression, anxiety, phobias, OCD, PTSD, C-PTSD, dissociation, eating disorders as well as behavioural difficulties. Shri also has experience of working indirectly with families and staff groups. Her speciality is in working with complex presentations that include trauma (PTSD/C-PTSD) and attachment based difficulties that, in adults, are linked to childhood difficulties. Shri is experienced in Child and Adult Psychology as well as carrying out neuropsychological assessments which help to understand cognitive functioning. She also has experience of carrying out ADHD and ASD developmental histories and working with mental health difficulties associated with the latter (children and adults).

Shri utilises several therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Systemic approaches and Positive Behavioural Support (PBS). Outside this role, she provides training, consultancy with external agencies and clinical supervision.
