About Me
Sherell is a Senior Clinical Psychologist with over eight years experience within National Health Service (NHS) and within private practice providing assessments and therapeutic interventions for children and young people experiencing mental health and neurodevelopmental differences.
Sherell’s experience includes senior roles within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) providing Autism Spectrum assessments, cognitive assessment and interventions to support children referred to neurodevelopmental pathways. She has also specialised in assessments and interventions in relation to attachment, trauma and the impact of adverse life experiences on children and young people’s emotional well-being.
Sherell has completed additional training in attachment and trauma focused assessment and interventions including, Theraplay, The Story Stem Assessment Profile, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) as well as training in assessment and diagnosis of autism using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS2).
In therapy she is able to draw upon training in a range of models and approaches, she is most passionate about adapting therapy in response to individual differences and developing effective therapeutic relationships with clients which facilitate change.
