About Me
Sara is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who has worked in NHS mental health services for over 25 years, specialising in trauma, complex trauma, attachment and neurodevelopment. Sara obtained her undergraduate Honours degree in Psychology & Philosophy from the University of Bristol (1998) and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London (2003).
Sara worked with children and young people who are fostered and adopted for 15 years, and for 10 years in a specialist court assessment team, providing expert assessments of children and young people. More recently, Sara worked for 8 years as clinical lead for children and young people in the NHS Grenfell Health and Wellbeing Service, a specialist NHS provision for people impacted by the Grenfell Tower fire. Currently, Sara works in the NHS as Lead Psychologist in the Major Trauma Centre at the Royal London Hospital, supporting children and adults with life-altering traumatic injuries. Alongside her NHS work, Sara undertakes independent assessments for CAYP Psychology.
Sara has extensive experience in undertaking, leading and supervising standardised assessments of children and young people, including neurodevelopmental assessments of ADHD, Autism, trauma and learning difficulties.
Sara is registered with the Health Professions Care Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist, Registration number PYL 18550.
