About Me

Nick has worked for NHS psychology services for 11 years. He has experience of working with a wide range of ages and families from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Nick obtained his undergraduate degree at Durham University in 2010 following which he sought experience across a wide range of mental health services.

Since qualifying as a clinical psychologist in 2019 Nick has sought a broad range of clinical experiences within the NHS. He is very proud to work for Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Nick is a qualified eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) therapist and has completed his child and adolescent EMDR Level 1 training. He

has also attended several courses and workshops on acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) including those focused on applying ACT with children and young people.

Nick has active research interests and has published several papers in peer reviewed journals and has presented at international conferences.

Nick is a registered practitioner psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (PYL37475) and is based in the north-east.

Nick mainly offers appointments on a Monday evening currently. Some weekend appointments may be negotiable.

When not at work Nick is a comic book fan and loves the escapism of the cinema.
