About Me

Kelly has worked for NHS services for five years, predominantly working with young people and families in need of psychological support. Since qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist, Kelly has worked in Paediatrics at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and now currently works within Looked After Children’s services. Within both roles, Kelly’s work has predominantly focussed on working with young people who have experienced trauma.

Kelly completed her undergraduate degree in Applied Psychology with Clinical Psychology at the University of Kent (2011-2015) and was awarded a first class honours degree. During her degree, Kelly spent a year in industry working as an Assistant Psychologist within a locked rehabilitation service, for women who had experienced complex trauma. Kelly then achieved a distinction in her masters degree in Clinical Applications of Psychology at the University of Warwick (2015-2016). Again, at this time Kelly also worked within an independent child psychology service as an Assistant Psychologist. This role included involvement in the adult Autism Spectrum Condition assessment pathway and supporting consultations to Pupil Referral Units. Kelly completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Manchester (2017-2020), during which her research focussed on interventions for non-suicidal self-injury.

Kelly is a registered practitioner psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC, PYL38594)
