About Me
Jocelyn has worked in private practice for the past 8 years, with special interests in trauma and neurodiversity. She is passionate about supporting neurodivergent young people and their families, and has particular expertise in PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance – or, ‘pervasive drive for autonomy’, as she prefers), as well non-demand avoidant presentations of autism and ADHD.
After obtaining her undergraduate degree in Psychology, Jocelyn started her NHS career in inpatient and residential adult mental health services. During her doctoral training, she moved towards child and adolescent mental health with specialist placements at Great Ormond Street Hospital in eating disorder and child inpatient services, as well as placements in CAMHS community teams. She also had specialist placements in adult trauma services and conducted her doctoral research in forensic services looking at offence-related PTSD. Since qualifying in 2015, she has undertaken further training in EMDR.
Now based overseas, Jocelyn is available for remote appointments, via Teams video conferencing.
