About Me

Caroline qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2003 and has 22 years of experience of working with children, young people and families, with a wide range of presenting difficulties. Caroline worked for 14 years in outpatient CAMHS in Manchester, where she became the lead for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). She then moved to work at a specialist inpatient unit for young people with eating disorders, where she spent the next 6 years.  Alongside working for CAYP, Caroline is currently the Programme Lead for the Education Mental Health Practitioner training programme in Manchester.

Caroline is trained and experienced in a range of therapies and is therefore able to work in a client-centred, formulation-based and integrative way. She specialises in CBT, has completed the Postgraduate Certificate in CBT Supervision, and has supervised many practitioners over the years.

Caroline has a specialist interest in working with young people with eating disorders and their families. She has extensive knowledge and experience in this field and understands the challenges that young people and families face when an eating disorder develops. Caroline is trained in Enhanced CBT (CBT-E) and in the Maudsley Model of Anorexia Treatment for Adults (MANTRA), both of which can be adapted for adolescents.  She also particularly enjoys working with young people with anxiety disorders, including OCD, selective mutism and tics. Caroline is experienced in working with young people who are neurodiverse.

In addition to therapeutic support, Caroline can offer cognitive assessments to gain an understanding of a child’s cognitive strengths and areas they may find more challenging.

Caroline is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a practitioner psychologist (PYL03038).  She is also an accredited practitioner with the BABCP.
