About Me
Ann is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked with families since 2007, qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2012. She has worked with children, young people, and families that are experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties, including care experienced children.
Ann specialises in supporting families with their relationships, communication, and parenting confidence, to help make everyday life a little easier. Ann is passionate about early support to enhance the parent- child relationship, using therapeutic parenting approaches to reduce
distress within children, young people and their caregivers. Ann utilises solution-focused and play-based approaches to enhance attachment, helping families to feel safer and happier.
Ann is an accredited supervisor and practitioner in Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) and is trained in the parenting support interventions of Incredible Years and Helping the Noncompliant Child. She has completed training in Compassionate Mind Therapy and Family Therapy.
Ann obtained her Psychology Degree at Bangor University (2004) and completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Plymouth University (2012).
Ann is a registered practitioner psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC, PYL28515) and runs clinics in North Somerset, as well as offering online sessions.
