About Me

Aly is an HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist with particular expertise in the area of neurodevelopmental difficulties and differences, including autism and ADHD. 

She has worked for the majority of her career within the NHS finishing in April 2022 after 32 years as a Specialist Therapist. She has worked within child development centres, clinics , mainstream schools and specialist schools and units with a wide range of children and young people with communication differences alongside complex and additional needs. She has worked within a specialist team who supported children who lived in or on the edge of care with a range of adverse childhood experiences , mental health needs and trauma. This was a role within a CAMHS team who both assessed and provided therapy to children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences. 

She has worked within the criminal justice system as a Registered Intermediary for approaching 20 years. She provides specialist communication support for vulnerable victims and witnesses who need to navigate our justice system in youth, family and criminal courts. She is passionate about the voices of children being heard.

Aly has a flexible approach and provides specialist communication advice and recommendations tailored to the child/young person/family. She has completed specialist training for autism assessment including the ADOS.

Aly joined CAYP Psychology in February 2024.  Aly is a registered Speech and Language Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HSL03557) and also a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RC0008680).
