About Me

Sarah is a Principle Clinical Psychologist who has worked in the NHS since 2008, qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2013. Sarah is registered with the HCPC and runs clinics in South Edinburgh as well as offering online sessions.

Sarah has extensive experience working in the Perinatal period and with parents / carers of under 5s. She is currently a Team Lead for an Infant Mental Health Service in NHS Lothian. Sarah’s focus is on supporting parents and carers in the early years, and promoting secure relationships and early attachment. She works with a range of difficulties between pregnancy and age 6.

Sarah also has experience of developing and working in maternity and neonatal psychology services, and can support families who have had a difficult start due to adverse experiences such as birth trauma or a neonatal stay.

Sarah is an accredited supervisor and practitioner in Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) and in Incredible Years / Incredible Years Baby. She is also trained in Circle of Security Parenting, Reflective Parenting, Touchpoints, Newborn Behavioural Observation (NBO), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
