About Me

Rachael is a qualified Clinical Psychologist who has over 15 years’ experience working in the a range of mental health services provided by the NHS. Since qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2015, Rachael has worked in paediatric psychology, supporting children, young people, their parents / carers, and large teams of staff.

Rachael has experience working with a range of difficulties including anxiety, low mood, distress relating to living with a visible difference, trauma, responses to new diagnoses / treatment / life events and challenges associated with living with a life limiting condition. She also has extensive experience supporting parents / carers.

Rachael is passionate about providing timely, accessible, and flexible support where the child or young person is held at centre of the work. She uses a range of approaches (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, Narrative Therapy) in an integrative, formulation driven manner to work towards a family’s goals.

Rachael is a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) PYL33034.
