About Me
Dr Molly Tuck is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC, PYL041583). Molly is currently working within a Secure CAMHS service with children and young people. She has worked in psychology and mental health for almost 10 years, and has experience working with a range of clients across the lifespan, with a wide range of presenting difficulties. Molly has extensive experience of undertaking psychological assessment, formulation and interventions using a range of theoretical models and approaches. Molly has an affinity to integrative practice which offers a holistic approach to treatment drawing upon a number of different therapy models and theories. This includes Systemic theories, Attachment and Trauma informed frameworks, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic-Interpersonal Therapy (PIT) and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT). Molly has honed her skills in carrying out person-centred assessments and using her clinical judgement to identify the most suitable approach to meet individual need. Molly is skilled at making appropriate adaptations to these approaches, ensuring accessibility.
Molly is passionate about social justice and supporting individuals to maximise their life chances. Her research interests centre on family-focused practices across mental health services and she is an advocate for systemic ways of thinking and working with difficulty and distress. Molly believes that individuals do not exist in isolation but in fact within interconnected complex systems. Molly seeks to understand human behaviour and experiences within these dynamic systems and believes this is fundamental to sustainable client recovery. Molly’s work also includes consultation, training and liaison, and strategic service development. Molly offers both face-to-face appointments in Leeds and online.
