About Me

Kelly began working in the NHS as an Assistant Psychologist in 2007 in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Manchester. She has worked as a qualified Clinical Psychologist in the NHS since 2011, following completion of her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology which she was awarded from the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London. She has worked as a qualified Psychologist in NHS CAMHS since 2012. She has completed a Postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Therapy and worked as a lecturer and supervisor for trainee CBT therapists.

Kelly specialises in child and adolescent mental health, and has worked with a wide range of presenting psychological, emotional and behavioural difficulties. She has worked in a specialist team for children in the care of the local authority in addition to generic CAMHS teams. Kelly has extensive experience working with anxiety difficulties, low mood and trauma/post-traumatic stress. She utilises CBT interventions in her work in addition to systemic approaches and has run DBT groups for young people with emotional regulation difficulties. She is experienced in working with parents and carers with the aim of supporting young people in psychological distress. Alongside therapeutic work, Kelly has a keen interest in conducting cognitive assessments.

Kelly is based in the Fylde and Wyre/Blackpool area and offers face to face and online appointments in that locality.

Kelly is a registered practitioner psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC, PYL27786)
