About Me

Ian is a warm and compassionate professional clinical psychologist, with a wealth of experience working with children, young people and adults in the mental health and physical health sectors.

The diversity of his career to date has given Ian a wide knowledge base. For 13 years, he worked in a variety of NHS and private settings including Child and Adult Mental Health Services (CAMHS), learning disabilities services, neurodevelopmental services, clinical health psychology and obesity services.

Ian has a PhD in obesity research. He published multiple obesity research papers, presented at 30 national and international conferences and lectured in universities. He co-wrote the British Psychological Society’s national obesity guidelines. He is particularly interested in working with children and young people with mental and physical difficulties, learning disabilities, learning difficulties, autism and obesity.

Ian is a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Clinical Psychologist and Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society.
