About Me

Emma is a Senior Clinical Psychologist having qualified in 2015 and is fully registered with HCPC. She is experienced working with children, young people and their families, and has worked in NHS services since 2012, prior to which she worked in charities and schools.

Since qualifying Emma has enjoyed working in a specialist CAMHS service for children under 5 years supporting parents/carers and has a particular interest in supporting the parent-infant relationship. She is passionate about empowering parents and supporting them through an child’s early life and the challenges that may arise. She has recently moved to a new role in October 2022 supporting parents while their baby is receiving care on neonatal units.

Emma is respectful of both the child’s and parent’s emotional needs and draws on a range of therapy models (e.g. Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)) depending on the needs of the child and family. Emma is accredited in Video Interaction Guidance and is an accredited Incredible Years parent group leader.

Emma joined CAYP in 2022 and can offer work online or face to face appointments.
