About Me
Emma is a Senior Clinical Psychologist with over 9 years of experience working with children and adults with complex needs within the NHS and in private settings.
Emma’s expertise is in the area of children and young people’s mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions, including ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).
Emma undertook her undergraduate psychology degree at the University of Hull obtaining a BSc with Honours in the first class. Following this, she completed a PhD in Psychology, specialising in children’s cognitive and educational development. As part of this work, she published several research papers in peer reviewed journals and a book chapter. Following this, Emma completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2016.
During her experience as a Trainee Clinical Psychologist, Emma developed a particular interest in neurodevelopmental conditions and children and young people’s mental health. Since qualifying, she has worked in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and neurodevelopmental assessment pathways. Emma has extensive experience of carrying out Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) assessments. Before moving into independent practice, Emma worked as Clinical Lead for an NHS paediatric Autism Assessment Service.
Emma is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist (PYL33633).
