About Me

Anna is a senior Clinical Psychologist who has worked in the NHS for over 12 years. Anna specialises in working with children, young people, parents, and the wider family as well as local authorities and education. Anna’s rage of experience has been extensively varied including assessments of children’s and adult’s social communication skills as well as assessments of attentional abilities. Anna regularly completes cognitive assessments to inform education support as well as to develop an understanding of a child’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses.

Anna has worked across specialist CAMHS services addressing a range of emotional, psychological, and social/behavioural concerns, and her main NHS role involves her leading on psychological care for patients living with a visible difference and children who are undergoing surgery and adjustment to living with chronic health conditions. Anna supports children, adults, and parents with promoting a positive self-esteem, adjusting to significant life changes, understanding parenting styles, assessment of developmental concerns and support with key developmental stages.

Anna has significant experience of delivering training and supervision to other professional groups and is involved with National and International research projects and trials.

Anna completed her Doctorate in clinical psychology at the university of Liverpool in 2009. Anna has completed additional training in Narrative therapy, Webster Stratton parenting training as well as Eye movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) with children and adults and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Anna has also completed training in completing The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule and The Developmental Diagnostic Dimensional Interview.

Anna is registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist (PYL24930).

Anna is able to offer virtual appointments as well as face to face appointments, cognitive assessment and assessment of social and communication skills.
