In order for us to work safely and effectively together, it is important that the privacy of the work is respected. Please do not attempt to record your meetings using any device or app. If it is found that recordings have been made covertly, services for the individual responsible will be discontinued immediately and CAYP Psychology reserves the right to seek legal advice regarding possible further action.
CAYP Psychology is an independent and confidential form of support. We hold information about the people we work with and the work we do together in confidence. This means that we will not normally share your name or any information about you to anyone outside of CAYP Psychology, not even GPs, schools or other services.
However, there are exceptional cases where CAYP Psychology might ethically or legally have to give information to relevant authorities. For example, if we had reason to believe that someone, especially a child, is at serious risk of harm or to prevent a miscarriage of justice.
We will discuss any proposed disclosure with you unless we believe that to do so could increase the level of risk to you or to someone else.
If you have any constructive feedback about the service you received at CAYP Psychology, or you are not satisfied with your experience, please do inform us. It is possible that we can resolve your concerns or complaints, but if you wish to take things further, CAYP Psychology's staff are regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), who can be contacted via their website: https://www.hcpc-uk.org/concerns/raising-concerns/. CAYP Psychology is also registered and regulated by the Information Commissioner's Office, and we are obliged to protect your personal information. CAYP Psychology welcomes feedback and if you make a complaint, we will always take it seriously as it allows us to improve the service we offer.

CAYP Psychology keeps confidential records and statistics about the people who use the service. We collect anonymous information about who looks at our website, who contacts us via our Live Chat and via our telephone number. We don't know any names or addresses unless you provide these, but we can see your approximate location (e.g., Rochdale, Stockport, Bury or Bolton) and how you got in touch.
All our records are kept securely, and are only seen by CAYP Psychology staff

CAYP Psychology does not have any mailing lists and there are no plans to develop any mailing lists. Should mailing lists become a feature of CAYP Psychology in future, you will only be included with your explicit consent.
